Las Vegas!

We just got back from our trip to Southern Utah & Las Vegas last night. Polly stayed in Logan with Lorin's parents & we were told she did great. The drive was long, but in the new ride it wasn't too bad! We were told it was over 110 in Las Vegas, I wouldn't doubt it! We stayed in Cedar City Friday night with Lorin's grandparents & then onto Vegas all day Saturday. We had a great time going to the temple & walking the strip all day. We left at about 9:30 & headed to Mesquite to our hotel. What a dive, but it was cheap which is what we were going for. The fire alarm got pulled at 2:30 in the morning so that's always eventful. The best part was a 60+ year old man in his boxers & flip flops running down the hall with his rollaway suitcase, huge gut & crazy bed head. He was outta there! We hung around outside until the fire trucks left...we assumed if they were leavinng that it was okay to go inside & come to find out there was no fire to begin with. The next day we made a pit stop to visit Lorin's Matheson grandparents in Parowan & then headed straight home. We met up with Lorin's sister at her house in Riverton, who brought Polly back with them safe & sound. She was so happy to see us & gave Lorin a Father's Day hug right away! Our computer is so slow & it takes me all day to upload photos, so the link at the top will take you to some of the pictures from the trip. I hope Grandpa, along with all the dad's, uncles & cousins had a wonderful Father's Day!

  1. It sounds like you both were about as impressed with spending time on the Strip as we were. The last time we stayed over-night in Las Vegas our intention was to see all of the new construction since we were last there but when push came to shove we elected to stay in the hotel room and skip the Strip all-together. Glad you made it home safe and sound.

  2. I'll bet Polly was happy to see her dad and Lorin was happy to see her. Too bad about your $2 lose at the slots. At least that's all it was.
