Amanda went to Europe!

I went to Europe back in July with my friend Courtney and this is the link to a video I made of our trip for those who wanted to see it! But it's pretty long and a little shaky so don't feel obligated to watch it :)

Campbell Fay Wilson

She's a cutie.

Nash wasn't quite sure how this new person was going to fit in with the family, but she seemed a bit more comfortable with Campbell when hanging with Grandma.

The happy, growing family.

Aunt Katie gets her turn.

I waited for eyes to open but Campbell was just too tired.  With J.D. starting classes to become a paramedic, there will be some long nights and days for Mindy.  Campbell was left with strict instructions on sleeping through the night and eating properly so that should help.

New Life to an Old Picnic Table

One of my favorite items we inherited from Annie's mom was her redwood picnic table.  We have a ton of fun memories of sitting 'round the picnic table in her back yard.  After two years of neglect on our back patio, I finally found the time and energy to refinish the table.  First I sanded it down and removed all of the old stain then applied 3 or 4 new coats of stain.  It turned out great.  Those who are going to come over for the Tour of Utah mixed grill Sunday at 2:00 will have a chance to see for your self.

What Would Jim Do?

Two of my neighbors that I'm sharing my garden with.  I would be happier if they did a better job of eating the morning glory in my lawn.

Papa John's Tahoe Tree Straightening Service

Spent money you didn't have on some 25' Pine Trees?
Not sure how to straighten the one tree that has fallen victim to the wind and is listing at about 10 degrees?
Papa John's Tahoe Tree Service might just be the answer.

a
Step 1  Back the Tahoe up to the leaning tree
Step 2  Soak the ground at the base of the tree with water then secure heavy duty nylon straps to the trunk of the tree and the Tahoe

Step 3.  Put the Tahoe in Low 4X4 and slowly pull the tree foward

Step 4. Get out of the Tahoe and snap a photo of the tree that is now standing straight.
Step 5. Leave Tahoe parked in the scrub oak strapped to the tree for the next 3-4 weeks, enjoy the strange looks from the neighbors and then pray the winds hold off for a few months.  So far, so good.
