Lundberg Girls Perform and Jim goes to Alaska

Carly awaiting the music cue for her dance routine. Definitely following in her mother's footsteps (HiLos redux here we come).

Camilla's Jr. High choir performance. Following in her older sister Amanda's footsteps. (High School Musical 2012 - can't wait)

Jamie proving to her sister Emily that she can finally curl her hair with the "straightener" (is that an oxymoron?).

Successful Alaska Bear Hunt 2008. Not only one for the record book (8'3" w/ 21 9/16" skull), but will look stunning in the front entry way. Please Mary????

Little Lily Ann Emmett

Here she is! A day late but we'll keep her! We got to the hospital about 4:30 Monday evening with regular contractions and Beth was dilated to a 7.5. She got the epidural about 5:30, the Dr. broke her water a few minutes later and a few minutes after that it was time to start pushing. At 6:05 Lily popped out, looking dazed and confused but plump and healthy.

She was 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 19.5 inches long. After a couple hours we took her to the nursery where she started having respiratory problems. First she had the space helmet pumping oxygen and later an Orthodontist type head gear with tubes in her nose. Unfortunately we haven't gotten to hold her since then but the Dr. took her off the contraptions this morning and she is doing excellent without them. Beth should get to feed her soon and it chances are good she can come home with us.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! As always you can check out Emmettdoggies a little later for too many pictures and too many words.

Memorial Day 2008 at Twin Pine Ranch

Who knew curry could be so good? Well, I guess the answer is we all knew it. The traditional H. Roland and Harriett D. Emmett feast continues with an ever growing prosteriety (in fact, the number increased by one at about 6:05pm today with the arrival of Lily Emmett - more on that later). Some members of the 4th and 5th generations were seen eating corn dogs rather than curry, but that's OK. Salads, fruit, veggies, chocolate pie, strawberry cake, various cookies and lemon bars provided all with more than the minimum number of required calories for an Ironman in training. With rain in the forecast for much of Monday, trips to the Brigham City and Logan Cemetaries took place on Sunday afternoon leaving Monday open to a day of travel, family fun and plenty of food.

Sorry Paige..... I know I promised you full editorial rights, but I think that we needed to see the always cute Laura, Paige and Adrienne enjoying the day.

"Where's my mommy?" Well, she's on her way to the hospital!!! Tuesday you'll be able to go visit your mom and your new baby sister Lily. Way to go Beth!!

Chad and the Hickman cousins, Allison, Ann and Heather

How does Alex do it? I seem to keep running into this shed.

GUESS WHAT???

We're expecting the first week of December.  I'm twelve weeks so we won't find out the gender until mid-July.  We're really excited and can't wait for Beth and Paige's little ones.  Maybe he or she will share a birthday with Will!!

HERE SHE ISn't!!!

Still no little sister much to Beth's dismay. The doctor scheduled her to be induced next Tuesday if it doesn't happen before then. Jack continues to patiently wait and perfect his big brother skills. While Beth has been "ready" for a some time I'm finally starting to feel prepared. The house has been cleaned and organized, bags are packed, car seats and diapers are out of storage, and of course pink has made it's presence felt.

siblings

Before traveling (I just spent 10 days in Israel getting oriented for next year's stay) I usually take a photo of the kids so that I can have it on my digital camera to look at. I took this photo on May 5th before leaving for the airport. I liked the way in which Will spontaneously decided to reach out to his older siblings and pull them in.

Molly and Erin go to prom

Lesa made Molly's dress and altered Erin's (Erin is wearing rather high heals.)

Pretty Molly and Lee "my shoes are ugly" Walden.

Cute Erin with Kevin Giffin. (Kevin was Harold Hill in the Music Man - see earlier post.)

Not to mention celebrating Mothers Day - a shout out to to all the wonderful mothers in the family Norda, Lorie, Marie, Allison, Paige, Mary, Shelly, Lesa, Annie, Kim, and Beth. Doesn't get much better...

Same Stuff - Different Day

Last Tuesday night Mac had a recital, Sam had a game and Alex had a game all going on at once..., just a typical evening in.

Mac didn't miss one note at her recital. Grandpa Emmett is on the mend and made an appearance. Very impressive play.

Sam wishing she was on the ski hill... but still kicking/crossing/assisting well.

Alex has game, always playing at full speed. Notice the technical kick with his laces (his private coach Sam has been helping).
