heirlooms

Emily

Years ago you laid claim to some of Grandma Fife's furniture (two green floral victorianish chairs, and a matching coffee table and tiered end table) that were in our piano room for years but have since been lovingly stored in our basement. I am not sure what your and Brandon's living arrangements are, but if you can use them now feel free to come and get them (It would help clear out the room which Joel will claim as his new bedroom when we return in August). They are in the smallest bedroom--next to Sarah's room--under piles of boxes and I'm sure Ben and Courtney would be happy to help dig them out. While you are at it you may also want to dig out and take a blue day bed from Grandma and Grandpa Emmett (your dad helped me take it apart to move it in so he could help you get it out). If you are fully furnished, should we offer these heirlooms to other family members? Best wishes for a happy wedding day. Wish we could be there. The Jerusalem Emmetts

  1. It might as well get used one way or another - there isn't much sense keeping things covered up in a basement bedroom. Much of our early furniture was obtained this way.

  2. If Emily and Brandon have no use for the chairs and table, I will gladly take them off your hands! They sound fun and a little vintage. A re-finishing project comes to mind! :)

  3. Clark and I may be moving into an apartment in the future, and we will need couches! So Allison you can re-finish them and I'll use them, ha ha!

  4. I feel bad taking dibs on them, but I really really do want them...I am so glad you reminded me! We need tables and love those chairs! I will be going over there as soon as I can. Not sure what we'd do with a daybed quite yet though :)

  5. The dark blue day bad serves very well as a couch--which is proably what it really is. It was in the TV room at G & G Emmetts for years next to Grandpa's chair until replaced by the tan leather couch.
